A friend of mine is looking for an 03-A3 and he sent me a link to an auction on GB that has me concerned. I know he won't go that high, luckily, but I want to let him know if it is really a humped up rifle like I think it is. The auction is in the C&R section and the title says "mint WWII remington 1903-A3 possibly unissued" and it shows a very nice 03-A3 but it looks way too light colored and EVERY part is parkerized the same exact color. The trigger guard screws are all buggered up and even the follower is the same "silver" looking parkerizing. I'm not expert but it sure looks like it has a Smith Corona buttplate too, with the wide grid spaces.

Anyhow, what do you guys think of it? Can anyone give me an idea of what's wrong with this one, or is it real?
