Yesterday I pick up this Century Arms Romanian Wasr-10/63. I paid $500.00 for it. It came only with two 30 round metal magazine and a cleaning kit. There was no cleaning rod, sling and bayonet. The gun shop ower had three unopen boxes and he open all three for me so I can pick the best one. All three had two 30 round magazines and cleaning kit. I check for canted gas tube and gas block, all three was OK. I check the fit and finish of the stock and hand guard. I also check for Romanian proof marks. The triangle with arrow. I also bought three more 30 rounds magazines for $15.00 each. He didn't had any 5 round metal magazines so I stop by another gun store and bought two five rounds mags $10.00 each and a AK sling for $5.00. While I was there I saw he had a Arsenal SGL21-61 with a 5 round polymer after market magazine. The price for it is $800.00. While I was holding it I try the 5 round metal magazine in it to see if they fit and they didn't. The mag well was too tight for them. I think only the polymer mags would only work in it. The Arsenal look pretty and it has a Russan Izhmash Aresenal stamp receiver but the polymer stock and hand guard turn me off. It just looks to modern for me and I don't like that it couldn't take original ak mags. I glad I did got the Wasr-10/63. I like how it looks like a Russan AKM and I also preferred wooden stocks and hand guards. Once I got home I saw that there was some sharp burrs around the mag well so I use a small file to remove them. Now the mags go in a lot easier. I disassembly it to see how the inside look and I found the receiver, receiver cover, bolt, carrier assembly and hand guard has matching numbers. The barrel is Romanian. The hammer, trigger, muzzle compensator and pistol grip are American made. I sure there must be more American made parts in it so it can be sold here. Hopefully next Saturday I be able to go to the range to see how this baby shoots.

I just bought my 4th WASR. Traded or sold the other three for higher end AK's. I always put original Romy G furniture on them and have some mags with US made followers. There is nothing wrong with a WASR... If there is and its new "like yours," Century will take it back and fix it. One of the most accurate AK's I have ever owned was a WASR.
