[I fail to see how one people group's natural rights can extend further than another group's. I simply used the word "citizen" to refer to people in general and to make the distinction that we are not subjects.]
Ted, I can understand why you fail to understand such a simple fact. It rests solely on the years of political indoctrination you've lived with especially the public school system as it was soley meant to to just that. I dare not venture to say "our" people's rights come before your ancestors simply because we are as diverse as your ancestoral peoples in Europe (and elsewhere abroad)whereever they were expelled from or escaped for econonmic, political, or religious reasons. Here before the arrival of your ancestors many viewed themselves as Nations long before the concept of the republic. In fact, some historians have said Ben Franklin stole the idea(s) of national consciousness from the 6 Nations. In any regards, I suggest reading more Colonial American History or as one individual stated, the Histories of "!st Peoples". It might broaden your horizons. Have a nice day.
