What do these two stand for there is also a semi square in a smaller one ? its a 1925 Ish 91
TIA (this is a sample pic dont have any of my rifle yet ! hope to have them up tonight 1/5/09)

I'm pretty sure that the diamond with cross inside means Ukrainian re-furb. As far as the other one I'm not too sure, but I've seen it here and there. I don't think it's anything too uncommon.

thats great i have to get some pics of my rifle up ..its my first mosin and I think I love it ;)

Looks like he just used Ted's pic (without notation) to illustrate the mark on his own rifle. He describes his rifle as a 1925 Izhevsk. Sample pic is a 1930 Tula.
Ahhhh, no picture capability. Got it.

Sorry will post pics tonight I hope there are lots of proof marks on it that I am lost on ....all this is so very Cool IMHO I love history !!!:D
