HVA 8000 in 300 Win mag

So my rationale for this one was: I don't have a 8000 model, I don't have anything in 300 win mag caliber, and I haven't bought anything in a really long time. Isn't that enough? I paid a bit more than I wanted to but seller would not budge on $889 asking price. Action is like silk, trigger breaks like glass. Bore is pristine. Scope is a 1983 Vari-X III with Multicoat 4 and duplex reticle. Can't wait til the ammo arrives so i can take it to the range!

Congrats! I thought long and hard about bidding on that one myself. I think 1983 might be a little early for Multicoat 4 on the scope, but you can tell by looking at the objective lens. The Multicoat 4 will give it a green tint. In any case, the Leupold scope makes it a decent price for the rifle.

congradiation i love my 9000...300 mag....the most accurate husky to date i own.....at 200 + yards

Beautiful! A very good investment. Yours is much nicer than mine. I have been using my 9000 since 1997 with a Leupold Vari-X 3 in 4.5-14. Absolutely love it. My "go to" rifle.

Yes, with the scope, the priced seemed fair. You may be right about the Multicoat. Leupold tech service said all the Vari-X IIIs had it but it doesn't have the green tint you talk about. So I'm not sure.
