Just wanted to post a quick update about a husky 1640 in .30-06 I acquired from Simpsons back in June. Finally got to take it out and shoot it this week at elk camp. It has a very sharp bore for a 1962 made rifle and with a few factory 165 grain core-lokt's I had lying around and factory irons I shot the following group at 100 yards. At the widest it was a little under 1.5", and this was my first 3 shots with a center fire rifle in over a year, shooting prone in the dirt, no support. These guns can shoot! For the $400 price tag you can get them for when they're to be found, you just cant be beat it. I wanted to put this out there for anyone on the fence about getting an older husky. They uphold the swedish standard.
