Didn't want to step on ratherbefishing's post, so.....

I am curious if there is any kind of national organization for people who want to hunt "vintage." I was thinking how nice it would be if I could connect with folks who understand wanting to hunt with a rolling block rifle. As most of the hunters I know are thoroughly modern, they just think I am some kind of crank. So I don't get invited to hunt with them.

Having an organization, like SSRA, but for hunters would be a great way to network and meet what you might call "fellow travelers" into the past.

some jurisdictions have an ''antique'' weapons season,and that would be very nice and probably create some interest in voluntarily handicaping ourselves-maybe even bring back the skills required to get up close and put the ''sport'' back in sport hunting[I don't see much ''sport''in sitting back a 1/4 mile and target shooting on a game animal,but each to their own]
