Picked this up today. After some research I think I've got a rare bird.
Seems to be a Finnish Tula Dragoon.
First pic is reciever, this stamp was only used on M91's till 1926.
The stamp was also used on Dragoons till 1929. This rifle is a 1928.
Hence me thinking a Dragoon.

Did some research on Dragoons and they are stamped on the top of the leaf sight "KAB" , See below:

Now the bad news, its in a 91/30 stock. Saw an identical one sell online
for $360. So, what do I have and approximate value?

It looks like a Finn-captured 1928 Tula Dragoon, which is worth ~$300

I'd be happy to sell my 1898 Ish. Finn captured dragoon in a finn stock with 91/30 handguard and solid barrel bands for $3600. I'd be making a small profit since I paid about $250 for it.

Everyone pretty much nailed it. Finn captured Dragoon. Value is in the eye of the beholder. $250-$350.

$350 is a lot for me, much less for a mosin.
Only got $50 in it so I am pleased.

On a scale of 1-10 I'd say you have a 5ish. You have a middle grade. I would expect to spend around 250 for that if I saw it and really wanted it.

Dragoons aren't an everyday find around here or anywhere, for that matter. You did quite well at $50. The 91/30 style stock is quite correct, and some less common ones do sell for $350 and more.

Very nice haul. Dragoons are always cool. BTW the markings are on the barrel shank... not the receiver.

I have been collecting the years of SA Tula Dragoon production and in several years I have only seen two Dragoons in person.....Bought em both...

I have 1923, 1927, 1929 and 1930.

I believe I read that Tula Dragoon production ran from 1923 to 1932. For some reason I have found more Dragoons these past couple years for sale, than in the last ten years...
