saw an auction for a 1910 mexican mauser which i don't see very often and they stated in the auction that only 44000 were made. is this a correct number? i didn't realize so few were produced if the number is correct. i know a lot of them were broken down and the receivers used in sporters in the 50-60's. that doesn't leave a lot of them hanging around in military condition.

Action Length?

For a while Hunter's Lodge (dubious reputation and all, BTW) was selling these Sans bolts.

The jab was that this action is supposedly made in a unique length, and original bolts are not only extremely difficult to come by, but no other Mauser bolt will fit the 1910.

Pity too, as I really like the 7mm and wouldn't mind having a decent shooter 1910.

That looks like a really nice one, and probably well worth the winning bid.

Are those a "Small Ring" action?

i just don't see them for sale that often. if so few were made that would explain why. curious what one in similar shape as the one in the auction with a matching bolt would sale for.

Wow!

These things were selling for $35 about 15 years ago. I'm going to have to dig mine out and clean it up a bit if they are worth that much.

They are small ring with small shank barrel threads.
