Expensive but I'm a sucker for surplus 7.62x51 so I ordered a case from Sportsman's guide. FedEx just delivered it. Wooden crate is in excellent condition, so far so good.

Does sportsman guide require signatures on ammo delivery? Did you open the crate, how does the ammo look? Any photos?

No signature required upon delivery. I'm not going to open the crate since it looks so nice, so I ordered a single 360 round battle pack yesterday. I'll open that when it arrives and report back.

The promised photo's. Ammo looks to be in excellent shape with just a little tarnish/discoloration of the brass.

Just ran 160 rounds of the HP through my STG58 clone. All went bang and easily hit a 5" Shoot N c @ 50 yards. Brass is boxer primed and the powder is the cleanest burning I've seen from surplus ball. Very little powder residue.
