I picked up a High Standard Supermatic Trophy I had on lay away yesterday. Is this the appropriate forum for this "military style" .22 auto that was designed to simulate the shape and feel of the 1911 .45?

But it is a hell of a pistol! I had one years ago. You could drive tacks with it. I would say that it was the most accurate .22 I have ever fired. Wish I still had it.
I bought one in 1971, but traded it a few years later. I' came to regret that for a long time until I found a decent 107 a few months ago at a relatively sane price. In the mean time I've found a forum and some useful download documents for .e.g. correcting magazine feed angle.

Since the Supermatic Trophy was designed to be a trainer/practice pistol for 1911's, I thought it met the "military type handguns" criterion. I think we are all going to be shooting more .22 in the coming years.
