i recall in high school the biology teacher was way into shooting [and making] black powder handguns , if you were a member of the biology club you got to tinker and shoot , often durring studdy hours ---but then there were all those critter cages you had to clean , and the feeding schedules , and the plant watering , and the record keeping .............but he bought the powder and lead ,

i have no idea if eather college i attended had a gun safe - we kept our shotguns in our rooms and quite a few had handguns - another time , another place , another america

there were no shootings while i was there
