Help with aftermarket SVT-40 magazines?

Hello,

I just got a gift: an aftermarket SVT-40 magazine made in Taiwan.
The magazine will not fit in the rifle.
From what I can see, the two metal lugs at the rear of the magazine that snap in place when it rocks back to lock are too big. Any online tutorials or recommendations on how to fit these to an SVT rifle? Or is it best left to a gun smith? And if that is the case, what gun smith works on SVT-40s?

Dave,

I would think you could file the lugs down a bit at a time until they fit if they are too thick to lock into place. Go real slow and check the fit often and you should be fine.
