It's a Mannlichter
stock, the bull nose has a hole in it, did military stock M-S' have a cleaning rod?
the right side checking is cut, and the butt pad is a pachmaur aftermarket.

is there a way to tell if it's a factory, military or a replacement?

Actually, this is a Mauser stock.

really
it lacks the front recoil lug
the forward action screw is clear of the base metal, it's a magazine gun, slightly inlet for the mag body and bolt handle is forward of the bridge
that said, I've been looking for 3 weeks and still not found a pic of a Mannlichter stock, plenty of Steyr 'Mannlichter' mausers, but not a M-S stock.

AH
thanks, it was in the pic as I was using a GEW 98 to show action length on the rest of the stocks, and I did it with this one too, funny is, action length is the same as a long action mauser??
