I have been trying to remove my rear sight without success. The S&K mount requires removal of the spring. I removed the retaining pin and front screw, but there appears to be another screw under the sight holding it in place. I have seen Mauser disassembly instructions recommend using a screwdriver to tap it out from the front. Unfortunately, doing this is causing minor damage to the wood and it wont budge. Am I going about this wrong???

Thanks, didn't realize the handguard would have to come off.

Just got it off without having to remove the handguard. I was doing it completely wrong and would not have damaged the wood had I known better! Live and learn. Instructions on Yugo 48 disassembly at Surplusrifle helped (after looking at the applicable photo multiple times).
