A friend handed this to me and said to play with it and see if I could make it work. He has had it for about (and I quote him on this) "30 years!" Here in The South, that may mean 10 or 100 years. I have no idea of it's age. It has turret knobs for reticle adjustment, so I know it's a mountable scope, well that and the fact that it has a Weaver-style base. The pics didn't come out too good as I only have a phone or a lil Kodak EasyShare, but I tried! haha! I will contact, if possible, the importer to Canada who has nicely added their phone number to the tag that's so blurry, on Monday. But, can you guys even tell me what this is? Haha! Thanks for any help offered. I appreciate it.

I will speak more of details after I get the pics to load, and have a point of reference for the discussion. I'm not good at this stuff, so I better take it real slo-o-o-o-ow. ;)

OOPS! That last pic is ID'd. It's a scoot that I have put about 120,000 miles on since it's birth in 1999. NVM that one. Dial-up takes forever, so I am a bit loopy, at this point!

Anyway!

Pic #1 shows the basic overall view of it.

Pic #2 is the main tag. It reads as: "Night Super 3x78" "Made in BYELARUS" "N600081"

Pic #3 is a tag on the "bell". "Imported by Global Supply Co., Inc. Ont. Canada, MJ3 2G1 1(800)642 7469"

Pic #4 is the front bell cap. Notice the slots? That's because it rotates exposing glass filters that are red when looked thru at a light. (IR, I assume)

Pic #5 shows the lens within the front bell. I took this pic about 5-6 times trying to hit an angle that didn't reflect light. It just wasn't possible with my equipment. The yellow part? That is a tube that sticks up about 2 inches from the main lens and is a greenish-blue lens within a multi-layered flat black tube aparatus.

Pic #6 is a blurry glob showing the windage and elevation adjustment turrets for the device.
Note the grooved ring at the front of the scope. This turns as in an adjustment of some sort, as does the small eyepice (diopter?) at the "look-in-end", which I "assume" means it is a fine adjustment ring for focus?

Any help ID'ing this puppy would be appreciated. Looks like I'm stuck with it, and I simply HAVE to try to make it work! ;) I'm that anal, I guess!

Again, thanks for any ideas. I'll try to call monday, but really have little hope. Who stays in "bidness" for "30 years", anymore?! haha!
