Here is my second question for the night. Can I get some help identifying this stock? It was sold online as a VZ-24 but I don't think so. Looks like it needs around a 15" cleaning rod. Stamped on the butt is F I MOD 08-34. Thanks!

It's for a Brazilian M1908/34 Short Rifle. I seem to recall that these were made at Itajuba in Brazil, and made in .30-06.

Nope. Someone might need it, but there are plenty of 08/34's around.

Nah, heaps of them around - even here in NZ. In the mid-late 90s a large Gunshed in Auckland had heaps of these that were snapped up (along with Haitian FN 24s) to be turned into sporters.
