Hey Fellas, I'm BRAND NEW to Spanish Pistols and to this Forum. I do have an OLD AyA SxS 20ga if that counts for anything! I'm about to acquire a 1966mfg Llama Especial .22 1911 pistol. It is LNIB, possibly NEVER fired. It has the original cleaning rod, manual, box, had to jump on it! What am I in store for? Good shooter? Reliable? My buddy shoots a Llama 9mm, and has nothing but feeding problems at the range! Will a new mfgd Triple K, XV 10rd mag fit this Especial? Any help would be great. I'll have the gun in about two weeks. Thanks Guys!

I agree with mikey.
Use round nose high velocity ammo (RNHV) and keep it well oiled.
The Especial models made in the 60s are some of the best guns Llama made.
You should enjoy it.

If the mags have a roll pin by the follower then they won't fit. There are several aftermarket mags that will fit including the ones sold on Ebay. Just make sure there is no roll pin.

Minimags are the best in the older Llamas, IMO.
