The postman just delivered my RCMP Adams Mk1 revolver.
Sent by a friend in the U.K. We thought it had been lost in the mail as he sent it by air, and it's been well OVER a month. Turns out he didn't get what he paid for. The box was covered with "DO NOT FLY" stickers so it came by boat.
I guess the post office was afraid this `1872 revolver was going to jump out of it's box and hijack the plane!!

Oh, it is a bitzer since they were recieved by the RCMP in damaged condition and required repair. Needless to say the Canadians were not happy. Only in service for one year, 1874, and then put in store.

1. the gun is NOT de-acted though it has some problems, as the half cock is inop. (makes loading a questionable proposition.) It's even classed as an off-license firearm in the U.K.
Still its a nice addition since it is a documented RCMP revolver. I also have a Mk3 Adams that does work.
2. I do not know how to post pics., and in any case my cameras are 35mm.
