Not sure if this is the place to pose this question. I know a guy that has this little .410 (?) pistol. Any one here know anything a bout one. If this is not the place please show me the way. BTW the gun is a single shot, break-down. Thanks, Matz.

If you could remember the name of the manufacturer or the model of the arm in question I'm sure we could tell you about it.

See if it is here: http://www.hr1871.com/ H&R's website. If it is a pistol I'm not sure what your friend has. There have been a few over the years, made in .45colt and capable of firing .410 shotshells as well. Are you sure its a pistol and not just a pistol gripped shotgun?

I found some info from the "2008 Standard Catalog of Firearms" by Dan Shideler.
manufactured with an 8" or 12.25" barrel in .410 and .28 guage from 1921 to 1934 when it was outlawed under the National Firearms Act of 1934. Classified as "Any Other Weapon" it requires NFA registration for legal ownership. Worth, according to the author, between $175 - $500.
