What does a police department think it needs an M-114 for, i wonder?
I will note that, having had somewhat to do with the things (I test-drove a lot of the things when we completed overhaul at USAMP-Roedelheim), if they cowboy it as shown in the video very much - they are going to break or throw tracks on a regular basis. And spend a lot of time adjusting track tension in an effort to reduce the number of thrown tracks they experience.

Looks like Bo and/or Luke went straight and got a job with the five-o. Good for them. At least the clip had a good soundtrack (got to love Pantera)

At first I thought it was a bit odd that police would have something like this too. Then I realized I had three of them, and they didn't seem so odd after all 
I believe we have all seen in the news or other source, where someone would decide life just aint worth living anymore and go out to do something crazy then find themselves barricaded in a house somewhere. Now that sounds bad enough, right? Then the police sets up a perimeter and nobody gets in or out until the crisis is resolved. The cruisers parked along the streets, shotguns and rifles ready...and the wait begins. Too bad for you if you live in that subdivision
With a piece of equipment like this, you can pull up right next to the house and tell them how it's going to be without the exposure to that magic shot that unfortunately finds it's mark too many times.
With that said, if the police can't be trusted with a transportation means that can protect them if they are being shot at...then how can we stand by and let them carry equipment that can be used to kill someone?
Once that flag is raised, I'm sure it will only be a matter of time before we experience the solution for the problem we've identified

Heck, if they (Police) want something they can just drive up and deal with things, they need an M728 CEV. Complete with the 165mm demoliton gun. Maybe somebody could produce an incapacitant round for it - CS or DM loaded....
