Here are a few oddities.
First a complete barracks cleaning kit. Or at least almost complete. I'm beginning to regret the purchase, since I keep tripping over it in the workshop...
Contains what was considered needed to keep the Mausers and the SMG's in shape.

Second is the slightly scarce armourer's parts roll. Contains numerous small numbered compartments, a parts list and most small parts needed to keep the m/96, m/38, m/41 plus the SMG's and the pistols running.

Swedish Barracks cleaning rod

Good Evening,
Is this the cleaning rod you were after? I've used it in conjunction with both the muzzle guide (pictured) or breach guide and haven't had an issue. It is Crown C marked and has what feels like ball bearings to aid in pushing the patches through.

Regards,
Michael

I was hoping someone had pictures of the barracks kit (huge wooden box apparently) with bunch of tools for all sorts of swede guns... However, I really like that cleaning rod too :)

Barracks cleaning box

Here is a poor photo of a barracks cleaning box . There were 6 cleaning bolts in this box as well as 6 extra long cleaning rods for cleaning the M96 from the rear . The standard rifle cleaning rod and extension are not long enough to clean from the rear .

I had one from Sweden. Took about 2 years to sell all the parts inside.

Almost all the parts. I think I still have a few items.

Have any NOS extractors and the extractor "seats" <-- that part the extractor fastens to around the bolt body ?

Only one and I don't want to part with it. That part is called the extractor collar.

Genuine extractors seem to be the hardest NOS to find. But I've not noticed any breakage of that part in all the years I've been shooting the m/96... 44 years.

I don't need it for a replacement. I need it for its first placement. I have a bunch of new husky parts I'm using to build a completely new rifle. Every parts is NOS Husquvarna made.
