Not sure where to post this...
A while ago I was offered an HK91 clone made in Greece. I presume it was one of the made-under-license rifles that the hun's were grumbling about. I tried to research the rifle and could find absolutely nothing about it. Does anyone out there know anything about these? Are they any good? Will real German parts or Cetme parts interchange?

Greece had their own production line of G3 assault rifles that was licensened by Germany and set up by germans (can't remember if it was H&K or Rheinmetall). If memory serves right the greek firm was called Hellas Industries. Those greek copies should be just as good as the original G3 variants and commercial HK91 models, depending of course on whether the receiver is/was made by Hellas in Greece or a quality US made one, or if it is just a greek parts kit with a low grade US receiver. :)

From all that I have heard, the Greek made SAR-3 rifles imported by Springfield Armory were just as good as the German made Heckler and Koch HK-91s.

I believe that all parts were interchangeable between the two. The Greeks were licensed to make G-3 rifles and used equipment and expertise purchased from HK to manufacture them.
