I'm getting a nice Repro No.4(T) and thought I might make it something nice to eat. I load light stuff for my No.5 (150 grainers over 39 gr. of 4895), but I'm thinking that another load might be better for the No.4. Any good accuracy loads to suggest, bullet weight and powder? Something using 4895 would be good, but I'm open to other ideas.
Thanks.

Found a suggestion of:
Sierra 174 gr. Match Kings over 41.5 gr. of Reloader 15.
Might give that a try to start.

I use 180gr. Sierra bullets with 43 gr. of IMR 4350 on my #4 Mark 1. I have several WW II rifles but this is my favorite and the most accurate. Just loaded 200 rounds but my range isn't plowed out and now another snow storm is coming. The price I pay living in New England.

Good results

I just had my first trip to the range with a new (new for me) Maltby 1944 #4, 5 groove with a really nice bore. First loading I tried shot very well but I think it will do even better.
Prvi new brass
Fed. 210 primers
IMR 4895 36 gr.
Hornady 174 gr. JSP.
I am wondering if a little more velocity would perform even better.
