My 1917 Mauser GEW98 has been in need of a bayonet for awhile now.

Found this 1917 marked bayonet at the Cross Roads Gun Show last weekend.
It has the same patina as my rifle!
Wood Tool Hardwood Wood stain Blade

Musical instrument Wood Brick Gas Brickwork

Wood Wood stain Hardwood Gas Blade

Wood Tool Wood stain Natural material Hardwood

Hopefully I’ve ID’ed this correctly.

Any Information or comments welcome.

P.S. If anyone has a period correct frog for sale, I’m interested.

When attending your next Gun Show, you might consider looking for a nA 98/05 Sawback bayonet made Waffenfabrik Mauser AG. Mauser made sawback models in 1916 and 1917. It's always nice to have both variations. Good collecting to you!
