dot 1941 on an internet auction site. Notice the KAR 98a bolt and the lack of it in his description!!!!
Cap'n, I don't know these when I see them, but saw a German carbine that had a steel wraparound just above the buttplate at the show, was quoted $2,300 IIRC. Figured that was $2,100 over my limit. There was one at the gunshow this weekend, think that the owner was on Crack or he thought that there was a Millionaire there that needed one to finish his collection....
Numbers inside the stock under barrel and in handgaurd. How do you tell if the stock and handguard are matching to your receiver? Numbers inside or just outside on the bottom of the stock?

The whole serial. Please post photos to take the mystery out of this discussion.Would they be the whole s/n or just a couple of digits? Would they be stamped the way the barrel runs or across the channel?
I appreciate your help as I am trying to figure mine out.
