A year or two ago I picked up a 1908 Brazil. The finish was decent and the wood wasnt too bad, the problem was that sewerpipe bore. Again.

Recently I aquired a 29" barrel from a Samco Persian mauser. It had the rusty spots on the top of the barrel, but the bore was PRISTINE. It actually looked unfired. So I am having my Smith take off the 7mm sewerpipe and install the Persian 8mm with the funky front sight. It should be quite interesting when I get it back!

I've a 1937 dated VZ24 action that one day will get a 1909 argentine carbine bbl installed in 7.65x54mm. Bought that action from a gunsmith buddy who is no longer with us. And maybe stick it in a VZ24 stock. Now if I can only find the hardware. Think I know where it is. Should make a nice little carbine. Frank
