Just a follow up on my post about the bolt head not staying in place on a 1943 Savage.C.A.I. seems to have fixed the rifle by building up the rail guide with metal. It's nice and smooth and the bolt stays under the rail.I have not chambered any rounds yet but it looks like it will probably work.I was very suprised they did this kind of fix and not just sent out another rifle. It is my friend's rifle and he is happy.Hope this info helps!
