I recently got an M27 with a very nice Ski Stock. It is 1928, #30019, and has a nice 1904 Tula receiver. Upon disassembly, there is another serial number on the underside of the barrel. This number is 10466 almost flush with the receiver, with some small emblem above it, then a 3 and the same emblem next to it. What is this? As a bonus, the bolt head is a Remington.

I believe that you are referring to assembling numbers but not sure without a photograph

if it is assembly numbers sometimes there is a matching mark on the side or front of the recoil lug. Congrats on the M27, by the way they all seem to really shoot well! Good Luck! Bill
