I asked a question about this rifle a couple weeks back, did some hard bargaining in the meantime, and picked up my first Kar 98a for 300 out the door.1915 Erfurt, all numbers match except the bolt it is from a G33/40 and has a mix of numbers.The bore looks strong just real dirty, I have gotten a load of crud out of it so far.Just wondering if this one was reworked during WWII and maybe that is how it got the bolt, or maybe it was one pulled off a pile by a returning GI who stuck in any old bolt.No import mark so either a bring back or came in before such things, a few pics

There look to be some regimental markings on the buttplate but I can't make them out.

You are in luck. There are a few G 33-40s that need bolts> Look for a cut up K98a and you will be good to go>
