We can't deer hunt here in MA. with rifles,shotgun only, usually buckshot.Last year we planned our fall vacation to be in MO. to visit our friends that recently moved there. My K31 shoots the best of my milsurps ,so it was chosen to do the job.Loaded with 174 gr.sp Privi Partizan,I shot an 8pt.at about 80 paces(whatever that is) slightly running in a large cow pasture.I lost sight of the deer through my scope and thought it either dropped(after running a couple hundred feet) or cleared the fence into the woods.
The bloodtrail was easy to follow,as the Privi did a great job on a high lung shot.I found my first Missouri deer in the tall fieldgrass in a few minutes......can't wait till next year...!!
