This is for those that take some interest in the WWI Western front and are aware of the sacrifice some men gave to stop the enemy in Flanders fields.
The oxydised, silver plated, medal in its decolored holder (that once was vividly red) was sold to the interested ones that gained the "Fire Cross" and were interested to see their own name in print. "On ne passe pas! = No pasaran! = You will not pass! " Dad was not one of the interested, he was four and a half years at the front and hadn't to prove anything. I got this silver plated medal , along with the "Fire Cross book" from a late friend. The original Fire Cross medal you see at the right is my dad's own medal.
