I will continue to update trends/or ranges here and if you ahve aspecific question pleaswe feel free to ask. Here's what I'm looking for
P-26

no S
And to date the ranges go like this
P-25 None encountered
P-26 189 to 10763
P-27 10854 to 16843
The trend is that P-26's are either unmarked or B marked with the exception of one A marked.
Early P-27's are B marked and then turn to C marked (mixed in with unmarked examples).
D and S markings are sporadic. THis is all based on about 30 P-26's and 20 P-27's.
There is also one P-27 in the 9000 serial number range which is out of place so if that owner could confirm that one.

Here's that odd one: P-27 (looks like it was a p-26, then the 6 was scrubbed and restamped with a 7)
There is a S, then the serial number below which is 9918, below it is a D, followed by another D below it with a "ATV1", above the lowest D. On down on the receiver is a scrubbed eagle, followed by a large F. The barrel is SA stamped on both sides. This rifle also has the initals of KM carved above the rear sling slot. So here's the correct form:
P-27
S
D (small stamp)
D with ATV1 above it (larger stamp)
SA stamp on both sides of barrel (2 stamps)
F on receiver (large stamp)
