I posted it over in the Collectors forum already some days back, but since not everybody hangs out there, I repost it also for the .22lr Trainer collectors here.
One of about 1400 m/27 trainers for the Finnish Army.
It is a sigle shot conversion with new bolthead and striker:
I tried it at 100m, but had the sight set real high, so a lower frontsight was installed and waits for retry:
The rifle is stocked in a converted New England Westinghouse wallnut stock and fitted with m/28 bands, wich is strange for a m/27 trainer.
The small bore barrel is a liner soldered into the rear part of the big bore barrel and also the front part is sleved onto the liner, in the middle the liner is not covered.
Not clear, why this was done, but seems like it was simpler that way and maybe also for weight saving.
