I've been messing with cleaning rods lately, want each of my Mosins to have one, many came to me without.
The gun show reproductions of Russian rods that I have tried don't fit. Too long, wrong thread, wrong head.
I'm in the process of 'fixing' them to be acceptable.

I'd imagine that many rifles' rods are MIA.
Haven't really looked, but don't recall ever seeing Finn rods for sale. Real or reproduction. (The slotted, knurled, long head type.)
A recently acquired Finned Tula 91/30 has this type, and I like the look. It appears new, and is not blued.
Wouldn't mind all of my Finned Russian 91/30s having them, as long as they were very good reproductions.

Are there good reproductions available ?
I'm considering making a few in various lengths for my rifles, 91/30, M28, M91. Maybe even M44 for giggles.
Is it only the war-time, or post-war rods that were not blued ?
Would there be a demand for me to make extras ? (They would be very close copies of my original rods.)

There are some I have seen on auction sites but have yet to try them. Wasnt there a guy that made M39 rods and was going to make M91 rods?
