Fine Mauser '34 Kriegsmarine with messed Eagle M

Hello to you all !
Recently I got in Germany this nice Mauser M.1934 Kriegsmarine. Very fine, as you can see, mirror bore and just some little holster wear. The problem is the "closed wings" Eagle stamp. Looks original (also Tom Whiteman thinks so...) but the stamp is definitely messed. Well, first I thought that someone tried to deface the Swastika, but this sounds too silly and anyway the swastika is still there... Instead I would think that the engraver (or the engraving
device) had a bad day... Maybe a bad Monday or a worn pantograph point... What would you think? On the pictures released from the Auction the swastika is covered due to political ( and silly?) reasons. So I added a picture taken when the pistol came home...
I would appreciate your comments...
Thanks for watching !

No expert here, but the Kriegsmarine marking seems to be a later (and sloppy) addition to a pistol marked to the DRP

Thanks Guys ! The Kriegsmarine stamp is a later one indeed, with close wings Eagle. As for the DRP legend, mine is of the wide style. In the same serial range I found mixed wide and narrow style writings... But, as I said, the problem is about the botched Eagle...
For comparison, here my earlier Kriegsmarine with stick wings Eagle and narrow DRP legend... (sorry for the covered swastica, but the German Auctions doesn't want to show it...)

I’m not familiar with these, so my opinion is worthless, but is it broadly accepted that these were engraved and not stamped? I can’t recall any other German proofs or property markings that are engraved. Weird.
Yes, Nirvana, they were pantographed at Kriegsmarine facilities. And if you were not skilled in driving that device you could end in a messed marking... Many of these Eagles are perfect, but you can also find messed ones, with swastica's "legs" shorter or longer and so...
