Not too shabby for $110... The sewer pipe bore they described is a little dark, but has 0 pitting. I guess pulling a brush and patch through the bore is a foreign concept. Oh well, worked out in my favor. Can't wait for the rest of the collection to go up for sale...

It pays to be within driving distance! The auction description stated, "Poor bore, with massive pitting." Pulled a brush and a couple of patches through it tonight... Little dark but no pitting... Gotta love it when you catch a break.

Make sure you fire about 35-40 rounds out of it non stop get the barrel good and hot and clean right at the range. It will drastically improve. I've save d about 3 rifles that I got cheap because of "bad pitted" bore. They all came out near new when I was done. No kidding!

OK, I have another stupid question... Does anyone know where I can find a COTTON reproduction naval ensign? I want to use it for backing in a shadow box to display the rifle and various other items. I've found a million sources for cheap nylon, but no cotton.
