I bought this Nagant pistol when they first started coming into the states. At the time you could not get ammo for them. Their was a company at the time making a replacement cylinder for the pistol that would shoot ....I think 32?.. I never shot the pistol just put it on display with my Russian weapons.
Okay, getting old, does any one remember the cylinders? what caliber were they?
Thanks!

I have one of the 32 auto cylinders. I have two M1895 Nagants and only ever used it in one of the pistols. It worked fine though. I seem to remember it coming with an instruction sheet warning that it might need some file work to get it to cycle correctly though. I do not remember having to do much to it for it to work. Since I have two of them, I decided to reload for them and not have them set up in different "chamberings". I reload and generally use 32-20 brass when I load for them. I haven't found a shell holder that grips the rim well for the commercial 7.62x38R brass. The rims are very small on the "correct" brass.

Quote " The rims are very small on the "correct" brass " Yes finding the right shell holder is one of the problems of reloading the Nagants, RCBS makes the correct shell holder
and it works good, but pricey. There was a poster on youtube that showed how to get the 32-20 Win brass to work in the revolver, The 30 M1 Carbine sizer die works for reloading..
