I just picked up an Enfield tanker at a gunshow, my first British revolver. I am guessing that it is a rebuild. The barrel and frame have different serial numbers. There are plenty of broad arrows and E over D marks on it and pieces of proof marks as though it had a good buffing. It looks to be parkerized. The two SN's are both ZJ's and the barrel is 45. The butt strap is stamped H K P with a four digit number different from the SN's. I have seen s&w and colt Hong Kong Police pistols but this would be the first British one. When I take the wood grips off the inside of the grip shows nickle plating. The gun is tight and clean and the internal parts look new. Iam going to shoot once my stuff is rounded up. Thanks.

a lot of them were rebuilt over the years. mine shoots about a foot low at 25 yards. if you have any questions post down on the british gun pub forum on this board, they have a lot of knowledge about these pistols. enjoy
