Brought back from the hands of bubba! This my newly restored No4 Mk1 T and it was definitely worth the project! the stock is completely NOS and stained with BLO. The cheek rest comes from the original stock that I had to unfortunately had to replace losing the scope numbers. The scope is an RSM repro until I find a decent condition no 32 mk1, I have not had the chance to shoot with the scope yet.

If you do not want to lose the scope numbers and the S51 on the buttstock, it should be possible to graft the rear end of another stock (with buttplate) to the rear end of the original buttstock. It might also be a way to get the stock to fit you just a bit better, as well.

In any case, you should keep the original buttstock (with its markings) with the rifle. It will help with the 'provenance' if you ever decide to sell it.
