I have a nice drilling I acquired from a vet along with an equally nice G33/40.
He got the drilling from an old man during a weapos turn in and the carbine off a dead fallschirmjaeger. The vet has died and his family told me there may be some papers about. I did get the Luftwaffe belt and bucklethat came with the carbine.
The drilling is a hammer gun in 16gu /8x57R. It has a lot of engraving and a buttrap cartridge holder.
All kinds of proofs but no name I can find.
I'd like to ID this and value it. It is of no real interest to me and ought to belong to someone who would appreciate it.
I'm keeping the G3/40.

Hey,

Best thing you can do is look at gunbroker.com and see what the hammer drillings are going for. I just picked up a decent one for $600.00 but they can go for lots more depending on scrolling, maker, etc...

You may also want to check www.germanguns.com . May have some info for you.

If you post some pics, the board may be able to help identify and place a round about value?
