For a short time around 1875, Japan standardized four rifles: Chassepot, Enfield, Enfield/Snider and the Prussian Dreyse needle-fire rifle. Has anyone encountered Dreyse example with Japanese markings? Survivors of the other three types are known with Japanese provenance, but I have never encountered a Dreyse example that had seen Japanese service.

Perhaps someone who hangs out here has one or seen one that is so-marked. I'd be happy to have the Japanese markings translated if I can not do so myself.

Any help would be appreciated.
