I ran across this on the old forum, don't know if it has already been saved to the new forum. If it has already been posted, please delete it.

Here are three more Double-Circle marked T-30 bayonets.

The first is a Nagoya with blued blade.

-------
The second is a Tokyo with white blade.

-------
The third is another Tokyo with white blade. Note the Nagoya proof on the pommel.

pardon my ignorance, but what were these made for? would they have been for use with the concentric circle rifles?

Yes, that's what current thought would indicate.

Sorry guys, but I have to keep them for now as they're all different with respect to markings and bayonet type. These Double Circle marked variants are out there, so keep your eyes peeled.

Pictures

Ray is correct, the pictures are links and will disappear when the old board goes down for good.

The work Ray is doing is tremendous, and takes a lot of time. We all owe him a great big thank you.

Hello seinen :
In reference to the post of double circle bayonets, the two Tokyo ( JB-32s ? ) appear to be reworks, # 8 73 is a renumber over faded or scrubbed Tokyo numbers, the one # 51 shows Nagoya proof and most likely that was where it was renumbered and stamped double circle.
I have one just like your JB-76 Nagoya 101, mine is # 461 and came from the old Ralph Allen collection, I received it as a thankyou gift from Jareth Holub. There was a second bayonet in that collection, it may have been a JB-75 also a 3 digit number. These Nagoya bayonets are purpose made double circles unlike the two Tokyos.
I seem to remember Ralph also had two Murata bayonets that had double circles over-
stamped over their mums.

Ray, Didn't know the new pictures would be removed when the old site is gone, really great :(

Will the pictures be saved in the above thread in the order now that you put them in thumbnails?

I just posted an old Osaka bayonet thread which will need the pictures saved. Will see if I can do it.

David, I read this after working on your Osaka post.
To capture the pics on the old posts just right click on the picture, select "Save picture as" and put it in a location on your computer where you can find it. When you move the post go down to Advanced editor, move to the bottom of the page and select Manage Attachments use that page to upload the pics to the new board. Then follow the instructions on the Osaka post.
Thanks for the help David
