I don't think it can be saved at all!!! I'll take it off your hands and dispose of it!

Not cheap for an unknown military scope.. The question is can it be brought back fom the dead.Suggestions on best way to thin the rust out would be most welcome. I am thinking light use of 000 brass steel wool and a solvent ? Has anybody ever tried a test patch of napa rust neutralizer on heavy scope rust?
