After an enjoyable shoot, while I was cleaning up I noticed some unusual wear on the base of the bolt face. I have never noticed it before and I am not sure it hasn't been there all along. I hope someone might be able to illuminate me. I am sorry bout the picture quality. Maybe with sun light I can do better.

Yow; That's Weird!

Never seen that before!

You might want to have that checked out by a gunsmith.

How does your firing pin lockout plunger look?
Tops and followers of any of your magazines?
Any battering or unusual deformation / wear?

Are you experiencing any "trigger slap" when you fire a round?

Perhaps you could give us a decent closeup of the whole bottom of the slide as well as the top side of the frame? I'll take a peek at it and see if anything jumps out at me.

Sad to say, I'd be hesitant to fire this pistol until we get to the bottom of this issue.

do I need to worry about my cz 52 (new photos)

Ok got into some sunshine and used some black&white "film". But after reassembly I think I know how it happened. I am a bit shaky and while removing the barrel I sometimes slip and the top of the receiver slams into that spot. Maybe the the metal in the slide is softer? The wounds do seem to be superfical and require a set of pro eyes.
