My Colt M-4 wa received with a whitish type stain on the pistol grip. Is there any way to remove this or cover it up? SOG tells me I have to send the rifle back, they won't send parts. I could just live with it, or is there a source for a new grip? Thanks for any help.

I'll try some good old N0.9. Thanks a lot for your offer, Muggzy. That kind of thing restores my spirit. I'm not letting SOG off the hook. I've spent literally thousands of dollars with that company through mostly C&R purchases directly, so I have a customer account number and a purchase history they can check. I want to see if they'll blow me off.

Thanks for your advice and offers, I really appreciate it. SOG did respond saying they had no spares. They suggested Goof Off or lemon oil. They did offer to replace the rifle, which considering the cost of shipping, makes no sense. What's a good looking rubber one I can order on line? Like WOrland said, a good excuse to buy a better one.

I'd get the Ergo grip. I have two on a couple of my builds. The nice extra is it comes with a "gapper." If you've ever run an AR in a carbine course, that gap between the grip and the trigger guard will rub your finger raw. The gapper fills that gap and makes for a more comfy grip on the rifle.Jim
