Im looking to make a nice sized buy of 30.06 from CMP and need to know if there is an appreciable difference in accuracy, quality, etc. between:

*Greek .30-06 ammunition. HXP (Pyrkal) manufacture
AND
*M2 Ball, .30-06 Caliber manufactured by Pyrkal (Greece).

Any info on this by members who know would be greatly appreciated. Thank you all.

I've fired a ton of each.

No discernable difference.

I have shot both and they seem to do well. It has been my experience that the Greek ammo does much better in my Garands than in O3's and 03A3's.

By the way, the only difference is in the packaging. "The M2 Ball" is in 20-round boxes whereas the "Greek .30-06" is in 8-round enbloc clips. All is manufactured at the same facility and to the same standards. If you need clips buy one case with and one without as it is cheaper :).

As above. I shot some of this yesterday, and shot some LC '69 that also came from CMP. Groups with the Greek were nearly half the size of the LC. I'm planning to buy more before it's gone.
