So, I've been researching my new T38 a little more. If I'm not mistaken, it's a no series Koishikawa in the serial range of 882,000. Is there any way to put an approximate date on it?

Also, I saw a note on the page I was using about the transition from a "B" proof to an "S" proof. My rifle has the "S" on the barrel below a symbol that's a triangle in a circle. What's the significance of this? Thanks again for all the helpful information.

Sorry for the oversized, unedited pics, but I'm having trouble with my picture host.

Frank Allan's production estimate chart, in his book, The Type 38 Arisaka, indicates a probable date of 1916 for your rifle.

The triangle in circle is still a mystery at present, it is thought to be either a proof, id, inspection, or similar mark applied during production.
