Thanks for the kin words, he was 101st airborne, 327th glider infantry, F troop, he saw allot over there, from the concentration camps at the end of the war, lost some good friends, but he and his guys found Goerings staff car after the war and got to screw around in it for about a week before a lieutenant took it from them. It was later found here in the states, he went and saw it again at harrars auto museum in Reno before he passed away

Camp dodge? Fellow Iowan??
He was from Davenport Iowa. Moved to Los Angeles after the war then a year later to San Diego and stayed there the rest of his life. His brothers and father followed him here. I have been in San Diego all my life
He was a first generation American, grandfather came from Norway in 1907 at the age of 15 with his 17 year old brother. Only to send his sons off to fight for Europe's freedom
