Hello the use of P38 is certainly confirmed in czechoslovak army, in the new book of Jan Balcar, is mentioned assembly of X000 pistols from parts of Spreewerk probably when i am correct. best regards,Andy
We know they used them and in fact, they put some together from wartime parts and even did some contracts for barrels and magazines. However, I've never seen a picture of a czechoslovak soldier carrying a P38.
The time of usage of old WWII german weapons in hands of Czechoslovak soldiers was very short 1945 till 1950 (+/-) when the weapons were replaced by Russian standard weapons, Mainly old german weapons were used during training (remember grandfather of mine told me they used MP38/40s and MP41s for practice shooting), and after the 1950 majority of german guns were sold out to countries like Israel and some arabic countries
